Does success lead to happiness, or does happiness lead to success?

Most people think that being successful leads to being happy. But what if it's the other way around?

That's the question Shawn Achor addresses in this TED talk. Achor, the CEO of psychology consulting firm Good Think, Inc., has studied the relationship between success and happiness extensively. He says the belief that success will lead to happiness is broken, because "Every time you have success your brain just changes the goalpost of what success looks like."

Happiness is actually what leads to success. If we can train our brains to look at the positives more open, more dopamine will be released, leading to more happiness and better brain performance.

In fact, we can even train our brains to look for the positives in life more often. Watch the full video for more from Achor.
