TED Tuesday: You determine your own limits
Eric Sachs shares a TED video from professional snowboarder Amy Purdy

It's Tuesday, which means it's TEDday. I'm a big fan of TED videos, so every Tuesday I comb through my favorites and pass one along.

This video features professional snowboarder Amy Purdy. Purdy was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis when she was 19. She went into a coma, had her spleen and kidneys removed, and had both legs amputated below the knee.

She struggled with depression as she recovered, but says she came to accept her new reality, and then worked to continue pursuing her life goals.

Amy's TED talk is not only inspiring, but also pretty funny. She shares some great anecdotes about life as a snowboarder with prosthetic legs. Take a look!
